Greetings All; Several of our network subscribers have sent a warning to H-TURK, and presumably to others as well, concerning an alleged virus called "jdbgmgr.exe." The warning includes helpful instructions for eliminating this file. Please note that this is a virus HOAX. When you receive a virus warning of any kind, be sure to double check if it is real or not BEFORE passing the warning on. Good hoax websites to check include: http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/hoax.html http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org/ http://vil.mcafee.com/hoax.asp Although it seems helpful, it is rarely a good idea to pass on virus warnings, as most turn out to be hoaxes. The better course is to be sure to regularly update your virus protection, and check the software producer's website to monitor when actual viruses are detected. All the best, ---Mark Stein, H-TURK Editor
