Bjork asks for clarification from Smith on the parameters of "templates in the popular arts--viz. B&B: Samuel, could you clarify a few points for me: You argue that B&B do not cater to a particular "template" (which, to a certain degree, I would agree to, although few texts could ever be considered "template-free), but if this be so then why your insistence on finding fault with B&B because it contains no racist templates? Are you suggesting that this particular form of segmentation lacks a certain all-inclusivness--that is, B&B must fully reflect ALL attitudes and behaviors of its templated audience else it lacks a certain realism?
