This year being the 34th year brings back some new and some old for the commemoration on March 24,2012. The New Jersey Regiment will begin the activities by having a memorial service for those militiamen who died that day at when bayonetted by the Queen's Rangers and will end the day along with several other reenactor troops showing off their skills in musket fire James Schulte, President of Preservation Salem County Inc. will give two presentations, the first at 10:30 am The Taverns of Cumberland, Gloucester Camden, and Burlington Counties and the second at 12:30, The Taverns of Salem County including the Bakers Tavern which is an important part of the Hancock House. Other activities for the day include colonial cooking and camping, kid's drills, and tours of the house. Our very own colonial doctor will be available to diagnose your ailments and cure them using early American memories remedies with no co-pay!! New this year will be Clayton Glassblower Phil Gilson selling his wares including bottles and vases. The day's events will begin at 10:00am and end at 4:00. This program is brought to you with support from the Salem County Cultural and Heritage Commission, the Salem County Board of Chosen Freeholders and public donations.
