Enviado el: sábado, 16 de marzo de 2002 11:56 To Dr. Nolan-Ferrel et. al., A great, in-depth study of an ejido community in southern Jalisco, looking both at historical legacies from the 1920s and 30s and changes wrought in the 80s and 90s, is: Nuitjen, Monique. 1998. _In the Name of the Land: Organization, Transnationalism, and the Culture of the State in a Mexican Ejido_. (Ph.D. Thesis, Landbouw Universiteit Wageningen, 21 Dec. 1998), Wageningen: Ponsen en Looijen bv. If I remember correctly, Nuitjen had her thesis printefd in Dutch, English and Spanish (the Latin American Centre at Oxford, where I studied, had the English version). However, even the English version has long excerpts and some appendices in Spanish, and Nuitjen compiled a massive bibliography besides. Best wishes for yours and your student's study, Kristina Boylan American University
