Enviado el: martes, 19 de marzo de 2002 09:14 Coleagues, With regard to students "nodding off" during videos, much of what I have read regarding effective teaching and learning suggests that 15-20 minutes represents the peak attention period for students, after which there's a large drop off. Having a mix of activities seems to work best. A problem I have with using videos is the passive mode of learning (or not learning). As others on this list have noted from time to time, it's good to present students with some questions or activities related to the videos. That does seem to spur more attention.
