I know this notice is awfully late, but I have only just now come back from Europe, and on the chance that list members who live near or in Washington DC have no plans for this Thursday, or Friday (Oct 16 and 17), I would like to recommend that they attend a panel discussion at the USHMM: The USHMM presentation is a talk, essentially adapted from Hank Greenspan's book, and part of a panel on "controversies" related to survivor testimony. The panelists include Sid (?) as moderator, Joanne Rudof from Yale, Joan Ringelheim from the USHMM, and a woman who has been directing the Spielberg interviews in the former Soviet Union countries. It should be an interesting, somewhat provocative program-not the usual academic drone! The time is 7:30 on Thurs, the 16th. On oct 17, Hank Greenspan will be reading REMNANTS, at 7:30, at St. Mark's Church in D.C. Corner of 3rd and A Streets, SE. For info, call Ellen Cardwell, 703-237-9272. ursula duba duba@nai.net
