From Warren Thompson [thomp@lebmofo.com] In my original post I used 'IRC'-as many others do-as short hand for the 'International Red Cross' (referred to in the original AP release as ICRC, the 'International Committee of the Red Cross'). I was not referring to the 'International Rescue Committee,' as at least one person mistakenly thought-this should have been clear from the context of what I posted. I did not re-post the AP story verbatim for fear this would be a copyright violation. - Warren Thompson
