---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Jennifer Louise Foray <jlf55@columbia.edu> Mr. Soifer, I was going to respond to your email sent to me off list, but I don't know if anyone else will find this helpful as well. I think that you really should contact the Netherlands Institute for War Documentation in Amsterdam. Their general email address, I think, is info@niod.nl (or you can check on the website: www.niod.nl). If you send your precise questions to this address, a member of their correspondance team will tell you what they know. Of course, they may also tell you that you can visit their archives and find out more yourself, in which case they will give you file numbers and so forth. They are really great with this, but I am also partial, since I know the correspondence team there quite well. They can give you more precise information on these "purification" (zuivering) committees and which ones exactly dealt with his case (I don't know if the Nationaal Comite, which you seem to refer to here, would have handled this, but I might be wrong). I hope that this helps.
