Regards. I remember reading in one of the books of the late Major General Joe Garba a story about how he once came home to his village in Plateau to find that his father, a chief, had converted to Islam in order to attract recognition from the Sardauna. I am working on a piece and need to cite this story. I have searched his "Diplomatic Soldiering" book to no avail. I would appreciate it if anyone who knows the story and where to find it would point me to the book. I have found several other references to the story, one by Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, but none of them cites the book in which the story is told. Thanks advance for your help on this. Moses E.
