Dear editor, I have tried a comparison with Tifinagh (i.e. the Berber alphabet used by the Tuaregs). There is not one sign which shows more than a superficial resemblance to this script (as Tifinagh have only very few graphic elements making up the signs, mainly straight lines, dots and circles, superficial resemblance of some signs will probably be found with any alphabetic writing system of the world). So this direction does not seem to bring much, Yours sincerely, Maarten Kossmann Languages and Cultures of Africa Leiden University PO Box 9515 2300 RA Leiden Netherlands Wannan wasik'ar i-mel ce daga H-Hausa, inda za'a cigaba da hira game da harshe da al'adu da tarihi da sauran lamura na Hausawa da mak'wabtansu.
