Last year (February) I brought up a question about a "Hausa alphabet" that was neither Boko nor Ajami, and there was some interesting if inconclusive response. I just received a question from Charles Riley of Yale about another Hausa alphabet, that he observed in the following publication: Masoyan Zamani II, by Ado Ahmad (Gidan Dabino Publishers, Kano, 1993). I've posted a copy of the alphabet at http://www.bisharat.net/Demos/Hausa_alpha_2.htm for any who are interested to see. Any comments would be of interest. An immediate question I have is whether this is the same alphabet mentioned by Nikolay Dobronravin that had been invented by some Hausa writers in the 1970s.
