I am definitely interested in knowing more about this. I did a recent
article for a Canadian journal on oral traditions and writing influenced by
Arabic and my research did not reveal this non-Ajami writing tradition. I'm
aware of what can be called Ifa script among the Yoruba, so I won't be
surprised if there was a similar one in pre-Islamic Hausa community.
