Don, The answer to your question is YES, there is a need for such web site. Here is the reply of the person whom I was actually referring to. She lives in Washington, and has improved her Hausa as a result of being a member of our Yahoo! groups: ************************************************************************ To: Finafinan_Hausa@yahoogroups.com Wrom: WFAOBUZXUWLSZLKB Date: Sun, 13 Apr 2003 16:12:57 -0000 Subject: [Finafinan_Hausa] Re: [Fwd: littattafan_Hausa_na_zamani AND others]: GIMBIYA'S CALL I think this will be a great idea. because it's really hard, even though I'm very proud of my parents for making sure their kids can at least speak hausa language after leaving in another country for more than a decade. I know a lot of people here who left kano (nigeria) for just couple of years but because of lack of communcating in hausa they are losing it too. I truly believe reading and writing a language can make you advance in that language. this is a great idea prof. so what's next. ************************************************************************** As she says, what is next? A huta lafiya Abdalla Wannan wasik'ar i-mel ce daga H-Hausa, inda za'a cigaba da hira game da harshe da al'adu da tarihi da sauran lamura na Hausawa da mak'wabtansu.
