From: Jessica Gienow <zupe5@mlucom2.urz.uni-halle.DE> Coming from a family of lawyers I would like to add a tidbit of speculation to the debate re: the roles of attorneys and historians. My impression is that attorneys start with the solution (or the "outcome") and then search for the evidence. Historians, in turn, start with the evidence and the search for the solution (or thesis).
