<firstname.lastname@example.org> In his _Listening to Africa_ (Eng. tr. 1989), p. 7, Pierre Pradervand mentions plans of the Burkina Faso government to carry its literacy campaign in national languages beyond basic literacy with the establishment of local literacy centers. Does anyone have information on these? Were they indeed established (or were they dropped after the assasination of Thomas Sankara), have they been maintained, what exactly have they accomplished, and what are the plans for their future? Thanks in advance! Please reply to the address given above.
