I have been using and supporting NeoOffice on the Mac, as well as OpenOffice on Mac, Windows and Linux. In my experience there are no technical issues that make it any different from teaching word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, vector graphics and desktop databases on any of its competitors' applications. It is surprising, however, how hard people can resist changing from what they're accustomed to, even when the changes are extremely minor. Specifically, what kind of resources are you looking for? Have you participated in the online forums for NeoOffice? One skillset I suggest teaching both your faculty and students is how to learn and participate in open source communities online. Lessons where they interact with developers and even create things like artwork and templates to share with the open source project are so useful for the web2.0 world we're all now living on--and can only be done with open source apps like Neo. This is really a great opportunity to put your students ahead of the curve, it's exciting! I've personally switched to OpenOffice 3.0 Mac for my day-to-day use but still think Neo is a great option. Feel free to contact me on or offlist for any more info. Ben > From: Donna Lysaght <lysaghtd@hicksvilleschools.org> > > At our school we are currently using NeoOffice( we are an all MAC school).
