I'm a student at Duke University's Master of Arts in Teaching Program and I am working on an independent study with Dr. Peter Wood. The aim of the independent study is to develop a world history curriculum for high school students. I am interested in taking a multi-disciplinary approach, and have found recent postings on H-World extremely useful (I'm referring specifically to the literature suggestions, be they fiction or non-fiction). If you teach world history, at either a college or high school level, I'd be interested in seeing a copy of some SYLLABI you have used in the past. If they are in emailable form, that would be great. Also, if you have suggestions of film clips to show or activities that you use (role plays, debates, paper topics that have worked well), I'd appreciate it if you could either explain what you do on email, or, if that would take too long, email me your phone number, so I can call to talk to you about what you do. If you just have hard copies of syllabi/activities, my snail address is Steve Goldberg Box 94889 Durham, NC 27708-4889 stevego@acpub.duke.edu
