Another vote for Ahmadou Kourouma's "Allah is Not Obliged", taught
back to back with Emmanuel Dongala's "Les Petits Garçons naissent
aussi des étoiles" -- contemporary child narrators (vs.
pre-independence narrators); treatment of the French language; the
writer,fiction and history/politics.... Among themes developed...
