The History Department of the University of Central Florida invites applications for a tenured or tenure-earning faculty position (rank open) in Twentieth Century Military History beginning in August 2010. Ph.D. in History or related field from an accredited institution is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Oral or Public History. Geographic specialty is open, but preference will be given to candidates who can teach U.S. Military History to 1900 and U.S. Military History since 1900. The successful candidate will participate in developing our new Veterans History Project and in our Public History Program. UCF is a growing metropolitan research university in Orlando enrolling over 53,000 students.
