Dear H-Net Readers:

One of the most important components of our mission is to assist
teachers in the humanities and social sciences.  When H-Net launched
over twenty years ago, its founders stressed the potential for
developing networks around teaching, so that strength in numbers would
translate into new ideas, resources, and techniques for instructors at
all levels.  It's why H-Net won the AHA's prestigious James Harvey
Robinson teaching prize soon after we launched, in 1996.  Maybe you
picked up a great idea, the solution to a problem, a new lecture
resource, a discussion strategy, a new approach to assessment, on one of
our networks?  Our editors are veteran instructors who are sensitive to
the challenges of a modern classroom and eager to present new ideas to
their subscribers.

The new H-Net Commons, http://networks.h-net.org, is helping us
take
this service to the next level by adding the capacity to create archives
of special teaching projects and primary sources generated from
professionals like you, and moderated by professionals at H-Net.
