I joined this list a few months ago, shortly after I took my current position. My graduate training is in librarianship and history of science and medicine; I know very little about history of the law. My library is devoted to non-medical aspects of blindness and the history of blind people, but we are also interested in history of law because of the significance of our namesake (Jacobus tenBroek, founder of the National Federation of the Blind) in the history of constitutional law. The tenBroek Library holds the papers of Jacobus tenBroek, author of _The Antislavery Origins of the Fourteenth Amendment_. It's a big collection, and we're hoping to win a grant that will allow us to process them. In the meantime I'm hoping to build our collection of published material that relates to tenBroek's scholarly interests. (I should add that my staff and I will be glad to field any questions about the tenBroek papers). Which leads me to the reason I write this afternoon. Question: Can anyone tell me if any of the books on this list (previously posted and copied below) cite Jacobus tenBroek? For that matter, can anyone suggest any other books on legal history, recent or otherwise, in which tenBroek's writings are cited? Thanks in advance. Cordially, Ed Morman Edward T.
