"The Modern Political Archives at the University of Mississippi is pleased to announce the opening of the John C. Satterfield/American Bar Association Collection to researchers. Satterfield is the only Mississippian to serve as president of the American Bar Association (1961-1962). In addition to Satterfield's ABA files, the collection also contains records related to his representation of Governor Ross Barnett during the University of Mississippi 1862 integration crisis, as well as files on consolidated cases of southern school districts fighting desegregation. The finding aid for the collection is available online at http://www.olemiss.edu/depts/general_library/files/archives/collections/guides/ latesthtml/MUM00685.html. Please contact Political Papers Archivist Leigh McWhite if you have any questions (slmcwhit@olemiss.edu or 662-915-1850)." Thank you, Leigh McWhite Political Papers Archivist & Assistant Professor Archives & Special Collections University of Mississippi
