The Robert A. and Sandra S. Borns Jewish Studies Program and the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures of Indiana University invite applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in Medieval or Early Modern Jewish Civilizations. Ph.D. or equivalent required. The successful applicant must demonstrate an excellent research record in a field or area of specialization including history, literature, or thought relating to Jews in the orbit of Islam; effective teaching; and an active professional profile. Teaching obligations will extend from introductory undergraduate courses to more specialized upper-level undergraduate courses and graduate training in the applicant’s own area of research expertise. Applications received prior to October 15, 2012 will be assured full consideration.
