While there is to my knowledge no English translation of Yashar's (Elijah Solomon Delmedigo) "Matsref la-Hokhma," I take the occasion of this query to point readers interested in this remarkable and widely misunderstood polemical work regarding the "authenticity" of the Kabbalah, of an excellent reprint that appeared in 2007. Published privately by Y. Bakar in Jerusalem, and despite not being a critical/scholarly edition, it includes Midbar K'damot: Toldot Yash"ar by Samuel Algazi with the extensive commentary by the eclectic Warsaw journalist, Duberish Tursh (Tursh was also the author, among his other quirky works, of a highly unusual volume that combined an essay on Spinoza with a responsum about abortion), and is bound together with two of Yashar's other important Kabbalistic works, "Novlot Hokhma" and "Kitsur Olam ha-Tikkun."
