Dear List members, I met Daphne Joel at a fascinating conference in Vienna on neuroscience and gender. The questionnaire is for both males and females and is apparently coming up with surprising results. ( http://neurocultures2012.univie.ac.at) Best wishes, Hera List Editor From: djoel@post.tau.ac.il [mailto:djoel@post.tau.ac.il] Sent: 19 October 2012 14:06 Here is a link to a TEDx talk I gave just before coming to Vienna. it explains (in 14 minutes) why there are no male brains and female brains. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYpDU040yzc A new study attempts to better understand how people perceive their gender identity. When asked “Are you a man or a woman?” most people will easily choose one of the two binary options. But what will be the answer if they don’t have to choose? Answering this question is the aim of this research. We would be glad if you fill out the questionnaire in the following link and then distribute it to as many people as possible. http://qacademics.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_0BWfDkB9kX2tpxW Thank you, the research team: Prof. Daphna Joel, Dr. Effi Ziv, Dr. Maya Mukamel, Dr. Ricardo Tarrasch, Zohar Berman
