Sent: 22 October 2012 15:36 Please reply to John D'Emilio at: demilioj@aol.com Hello all of you, Have you written a book on "LGBT history," broadly and flexibly understood? If so . . . We're getting close to a re-launch of a redesigned OutHistory.org web site. Key goals of the new site are to make LGBT history widely accessible, to make the site useful to a broad audience, and to give more exposure to work by historians that's already out there. One feature of the newly organized site will be called "Book Shelf." Click on it and you will come to a list - with your help, a long and ever-growing list - of book titles.Click on a book title and you'll then come to a clear and straightforward summary of the book's argument and content, a picture of the author, an image of the book cover, and a link to the publisher's website. [For authors who would like to do more and have the time and inclination, it would also be great to have a short document relevant to the history that the book recounts.] So, I'm very much hoping that many of you book authors reading this will write me such a summary [750 to 1000 words] of your book[s]. If you're interested in doing so, let me know, and I can also send you as an example a copy of what I've written for Sexual Politics, Sexual Communities. Thanks!
