Did anyone seriously want America to leave the Vietnam War without thinking what would happen when we did -- ie. that the Communists would win? I find this hard to believe or respect. The fact is that everyone who wanted the US out of the war felt in one way or another that it would be ok if the Communists won and that there wouldn't be a bloodbath. They were wrong on both counts.
