I'm putting together a third year Canadian history course (post-confed.) tentatively titled "Canada: War and Peace." Its pretty broadly based right now, but I want to avoid purely military history (my own background is in peace history) and look at Canada's various attitudes to various conflicts, and the ways the country has responded to/been touched by wars in a way that includes cultural and social behaviour, and protest movements against war. I'm looking for suggestions for articles as well as works of fiction, as I'm including a novel review. thanks Amy Shaw amy.shaw@uleth.ca
