The instructor will teach undergraduate courses and graduate seminars in Buddhist Philosophy and Tibetan/Sanskrit. Total teaching load per semester is 3 courses (9 contact hrs. per week). Candidates should preferably hold a PhD (ABD may also be considered), be fluent in classical Tibetan and/or Buddhist Sanskrit, and have teaching experience in Buddhism and the relevant language. In addition, it is desirable to be proficient in spoken Tibetan and/or Sanskrit and to have some familiarity with contemporary Tibetan cultural topics. In addition to the teaching salary, benefits include round-trip transportation from Europe or North America and a Nepalese visa.
