The University actively promotes a dynamic learning environment in which qualified individuals of differing perspectives, life experiences, and cultural backgrounds pursue academic goals with mutual respect and shared inquiry. The appointment will be renewable subject to performance for up to two years after the first year. The appointee will be required to teach survey courses in World history and upper-level classes in a field of specialization outside American or European history. The salary is $32,000 (plus benefits) for the nine-month academic year for candidates with the Ph.D. degree in hand. ($30,000 for those who are ABD.) This is a non-tenure-track position, with a teaching load of three courses each semester.
