Ph.D. preferred but will consider advanced ABD at Visiting Lecturer rank. Teaching experience required. Teaching load: 3 courses per semester and normally 2 preps per semester. During the academic year, the successful candidate will offer two lower-division courses in World History (Critical Issues in World History and the History of the Modern World) as well as one or more upper-division courses and possibly a graduate class in his/her area of specialization. We would be especially interested in receiving applications from candidates who can contribute to one of the department’s emerging areas of focus: identity and power; knowledge production and transmission; and science, technology, and environment.
