H-ASIA April 5, 2007 Chatham House Open Democracy China Power List 2007 ********************************************************************** From: Kerry Brown <kerry1967@hotmail.com> The Chatham House (Royal Institute of International Affairs, UK) OpenDemocracy China Power List 2007 Chatham House and Open Democracy are proud to present the first ever list of the 50 movers and shakers of todays China, which can be accessed by opening the following link. This list includes political, cultural, academic, social and business figures. The weblink is interactive, and comments can be posted. A final list will be issued, based on these comments, and other information, in the summer. This exercise is an attempt to understand where power and influence lie in China, tracking how is a rising star, and whose stock is falling, and educating us about figures that have influence both in China, and, of course, in the world beyond. http://www.opendemocracy.net/people-china/list_brown_4477.jsp Comments welcome via the website, or direct to kbrown@chathamhouse.org.uk Dr Kerry Brown Associate Fellow, Asia Programme, China Chatham House London, UK ****************************************************************** To post to H-ASIA simply send your message to: <H-ASIA@h-net.msu.edu> For holidays or short absences send post to: <listserv@h-net.msu.edu> with message: SET H-ASIA NOMAIL Upon return, send post with message SET H-ASIA MAIL H-ASIA WEB HOMEPAGE URL: http://h-net.msu.edu/~asia/
