<plimb@library.uwa.edu.au> A few members have enquired about the novel _Towards/To Asmara_ by Thomas Keneally. The British and Australian title is _Towards Asmara_ whilst _To Asmara_ appears to be the title given by North American publishers. The variation in pagination appears to be due to re-typesetting. Here are details of the variant editions: 1. Towards Asmara. London : Hodder and Stoughton, 1989. 272 p. 2. To Asmara. New York : Warner Books, c1989. 290 p. 3. Towards Asmara. {London} : Sceptre, 1990, c1989.. 320 p. 4. To Asmara. Toronto: Lester & Orpen Dennys, 1989. 290 p. 5. Towards asmara. London : Coronet, 1990. 272 p. 6. Towards Asmara. {Sydney} : Coronet, 1990, c1989. 320 p. 7. To Asmara New York : Warner Books,1990. 290 p. [Incidentally, Keneally, an Australian author, spoke here recently on his new book, _The great shame: a story of the Irish in the Old World & the New_ Random House, 1998].
