`My issue is not with names but the spelling of certain terms in Wolof. My wife was a Wolof literacy instructor and I used her books as a guide, but then I found that some people didn't recognize the spelling of rather familiar words because most Senegalese being accustomed to French phonetics use French spellings. I have, however, stuck as closely on the spellings that Diouf used in his work on Kajoor. Thus thieddo becomes ceddo. I'm writing my dissertation now and have yet to experience any problems with it.
