<onaiwu.ogbomo@wmich.edu> TENURE-TRACK POSITION IN AFRICANA STUDIES The Africana Studies Program at Western Michigan University (WMU) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Africana Studies to begin Fall 2007. This position is subject to budgetary approval. Candidates should have academic background in African American and African Diaspora literary and cultural studies (critical theory, comparative African American and African Diaspora literature). Scholars in the social sciences (Anthropology, Communication or Sociology with focus on African American and African Diaspora specialty) will also be considered. A sub-field in African Studies is a plus and a Ph.D. degree in an appropriate field of study is required by the date of hire. Candidates should have genuine commitment to teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels as well as a commitment to research in the field. College teaching experience and publications are desirable. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue u ntil the position is filled.
