Rice University's Humanities Research Center is hosting a symposium devoted to the legacies of the Hacienda and the Plantation in the Americas. The event opens with a Keynote lecture by Colin Joan Dayan on Friday the 23rd, follows with a morning and afternoon panel on the 24th, and closes with a Keynote lecture by Michael Hanchard on Saturday afternoon. Please consult the HRC website for more information at http://www.hrc.rice.edu/<http://www.hrc.rice.edu/ The link to the symposium schedule and location can be found under the heading "Autrey Symposia" that you will find on the webpage. If anyone has questions please contact Hank Hancock at hmhancock@rice.edu<mailto:hmhancock@rice.edu> or myself at this email address or at the number in the auto-signature below.
