Sent: Monday, June 20, 2005 5:27 PM Hi H-Africa Community, H-reviews and H-Africa is seriously searching for book reviewers. The following books are available for assigning. 1. Writing African History By Philips, John Edward (Univ. of Rochester Press) 2005 2. Algeria in France: Transpolitics, Race, and Nation By Silversein, Paul A. (Indiana University Press) 2004 3. Arrest the Music!: Fela and His Rebel Art and Politics By Olaniyan, Tejumola (Indiana University Press) 2004 4. Becoming an African University; Makerere By Sicherman, Carol (African World Press) 2005 5. A Continent for the Taking: The Tragedy and Hope of Africa By French, Howard W. Knopf Publishing Group 2004 There are some simple basic rules that we use in the process. First you express interest by sending my a short resume of yourself, including institutional affiliation, area of expertise and a blurb about why you think you are the right person to review a particular book. You have to pick a book. Send that resume and brief to me at: amalhass@yorku.ca If you are selected, I will then request the book to be sent to you. Advanced phd students are encouraged to become reviewers. Reviewer should remember that only instutionally affiliated email addresses will be tolerated. No yahoo, gmail and hotmail and the like. Thanks, Amin Alhassan H-Africa Book Reviews Editor York University Toronto __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
