<macauley@truman.edu> I have to teach a course on history and historiography in the fall (our "gateway" to the Major) and the standard text that my colleagues have been using here is After the Fact, by Davidson and Lyttle. I've also used it to teach this class in the past and I think it fulfills its purpose. However, as a way of exposing more history majors to Africa, who may not otherwise consider it, I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good equivalent to After the Fact, but focusing on Africa.
