<becker@ird.sn> Dear Colleague, Ahmadu Bamba Mbakke was quoted in two replies, but he was also exiled two ways (Gabon 1895-1902 and Mauritania 1903-1907), and was for long time "en résidence obligatoire". For Senegal, you have the forced displacement of Sihalebe, the King of Oussouye (his squeletton was sent to Musée de l'Homme, Paris, by Dr Maclaud, and registered under the number 19822...), died in prison in Senegal, and the well knwon joola woman Alin Sitoe Diatta, died in deportation, Timbuktu).
