<fomin_esd_1999@yahoo.com> Yes, but not in their soceity of origin. In fact many persons of African slave ancestry in the Americas,Europe and the Arab World could trace their family links to royal dynasties in Africa today. These royals and many slaves of African origin whose descendants are today in the Diaspora were, however never deliberately sold into slavery. They were often victims of raids by enemies. No class of persons was exclusively exploited for slaves in Africa. And since these people were not sold by their Soceity of origin their descendants could trace their families in Africa and would be warmly received. There must be many royals of Nso royal family in the Diaspora. This royal family in the grassfield of Cameroon was raided and many of them taken into slavery by the raiders in the 19th cent.
