<driver@tstt.net.tt> With respect to the Star of David as Trinidad & Tobago police service emblem ... The explanation I have was that when the police service was being expanded and revamped (I think 1940s), the colonial government wanted an emblem for the force. One of the colonial officers had previously been posted in Palestine and thought that the Star of David was an attractive emblem. He suggested it for the T&T police. His suggestion was accepted and it was adopted, and is still the emblem to this day. I can not remember exactly where I read this but I guess it was in one of Michael Anthony's articles in the local papers.
