<pwurster@rz.uni-osnabrueck.de> To confirm Jonathan Reynolds' opinion, a togolese example: in Central Togo, in tem/kotokoli Europeans are termed "anasara" in a predominantly muslim region. I was told this having its origin in the word "nazarenan", i.e. people from nazareth. It sounded logical and clear to me and puts the emphasis on different ways or forms for conceiving the other/foreigner.
