Dept. of History, Colby College <email@example.com> I am interested in putting together a panel for the upcoming Canadian Association of African Studies conference next May in Toronto. The general theme would be on unsuccessful agricultural development projects in Africa in the late colonial and independence periods. While not at all restricted to these subjects, possible contributions could include European constructions of local agricultural practices, political disputes over access to funding or attempts by various African communities to use development projects for their own ends unforseen by the project's originators. If this intrigues anyone, please contact: Jeremy Rich Visiting Instructor, Dept. of History 245 Miller Hall Colby College Waterville, ME 04901 email: firstname.lastname@example.org
