I have put a hold on my 7 year olds access to violent things as I noticed a pattern developing of extremely rough 'play' right after seeing certain TV programmes and after playing certain video games. It is really up to parents to spend time and teach children. If there are others like me soon the software companies maketing this type of software may find it commercially paying off to diversify and offer 'better'(for lack of another word) games and programmes.So commercial buying power is your answer - unfortunately it often needs more input from busy p[arents than just buying what the rest of the peers are playing with....
