Currently our students work with MS Works, but we find that > nearly all communication with students at other schools comes via MS > Word.(snip) I think it would help to know the grade levels of the students. I am actually a ClarisWorks (and ClarisWorks for Kids) person; however, I would say stick to M.Works with the lower grades and start using Office in 4th or 5th. I shouldn't think there would be too much of a problem going from one to the other as they are both from the same company. However, since I haven't worked with M.Wks since 3.0 and don't work with Office at all (this will be changing soon), I couldn't really say how easy the transition would be. Hopefully, we'll hear from others who know much more from actual experience. Just my humble opinion, Kaye -- Kaye Mushalik, 3rd Grade Educator, Creator of KAYE'S FYI mail lists Franklin-McKinley School District, San Jose, CA mailto:kmush@telis.org , mailto:kmush@fmsd.k12.ca.us EDTECH has changed addresses.
