About this time of year, everyone needs a bit of of blast. Read this story to see what I did when somebody made a mistake but I was to blame, perhaps, for everything. The Scene: Years ago I helped a friend get her first computer. Then came the software and training c/o yrs truly. A couple of weeks ago, we made a major expedition to the Big City so I could help ber get a new G3. I helped set up the software, downloaded NS4.5.1. Sandy intalled that and got herself on the Internet the next morning. It took her 5 minutes. The Story: Because I was bugging her, Sandy then sent me her first email. The message box was empty! She had sent the whole thing via the subject line!!! What Could I Do? Well, how could I respond? Especially with my level of responsibility. Below is how I did it. Enjoy. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ -- Subject:RE: hi paul thi is from sandy. i couldn't think of anyting more intelligent to say for my first time. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Here is my Response:_________ "Sandy" wrote:............. SO...., Your email was so funny, -- You realy gave me a real super-blast! I roared on the floor laughing. What else could I do? I laughed, and laughed. I felt I had split my sides. My guts almost heaved from the muscle contractions, My eyes even bulged out! My ears closed up from air pressure. The four cats freaked with all the noise. The dog pannicked with the commotion. The walls vibrated in harmonics. As I gasped for breath, My laughs became staccato bursts. We panicked and called 911. The laughter was outacontrol: Hah, hah, uhuh, hucough, huh, hah uhugh! I finally realized I HAD to stop When even my stomach started to feel, well..., very funny....! copyright 1999 Paul <Pavlik@telusplanet.net> -hugging myself- EDTECH has changed addresses.
