> It seems that from time to time our FrontPage98 web site starts saving > empty files. This means that we lose all our work. Not personally, but I've heard of others having problems with 0 byte files. My personal experience with FrontPage is that the product was initially sound and clean and has since been turned into buggy bloatware; I won't even imagine what FrontPage 2000 is like! I had all sorts of problems with FrontPage98 producing pages which looked fine on itself and in its internal view mode, that looked fine views locally with IE, but when uploaded to an NT IIS server and viewed with IE would not display properly. I wasted huge amounts of time on tech support calls which no one could find the answer to the problem. The "techs" at Microsoft didn't have a clue, despite everything in the mix being all Microsoft software. My "solution" was to dump both NT and FrontPage. My aspirin consumption plummeted after doing that.:-) About the only thing I missed about FrontPage was the web site management capabilities, but those are reproduced fairly easily and if one breaks the web site down into multiple parts with different authors, it lessens the need of FrontPage's web site management features. -- Regards, | Why would anyone want to run an operating . | system that is open source and is developed Randy | by hundreds of hackers worldwide?
