Just thought I'd ask. Carole, open Preferences (under Edit), click on Navigator, and type the URL for the homepage address in the box indicated. And, yes, you set mail and newsgroup preferences, too, also under Preferences in the Mail & Newsgroups category. Since some time in the late 3.x versions, I think, all the settings have been located under Preferences in Edit. Incidentally, if you want to edit a bookmark, you have to use "Get Info" in the Edit menu, provided that you've already highlighted a bookmark to edit. ("Edit bookmarks" is under Bookmarks.) Communicator 4.6 came out about one or two weeks ago. You could download that to upgrade to the newest version. I've been using it since it came out, and it's working well. Also, since you're new to the newer versions of Netscape Navigator/Communicator, I suggest going through every category under Preferences whether you think you need to use the item or not so that you're familiar with where everything is and get some idea of how they're organized and used.
