One of our schools has a CD-ROM tower attached to a Novell 3.12 server using an Optinet NLM. The school finds the product to be unreliable and slow. An alternative would seem to be to use a product like "CD Quickshare" to mount CD images on the server's hard drive (purchase a second 25 GB hard drive and add it to the server.) Who has some experience in using these types of solutions? Do they work? Can you load it and then leave it to the students and teachers to use without a high level of maintenance. Thanks Bill EDTECH has changed addresses. The new list address is EDTECH@H-NET.MSU.EDU. All subscription commands should be sent to LISTSERV@H-NET.MSU.EDU.
