WatchKnow, with over 18,000 videos in over 4,000 categories, is now much faster. It's pretty snappy now; try it out: http://www.watchknow.org/ Remember, you can "drill down" into our enormous directory. Just keep pressing the green plus signs. There is also a "school accessible" feature which omits all YouTube results. This should increase signal-to-noise ratio for use in schools that block YouTube. In other news, we should have functionality allowing people to upload videos right to WatchKnow (not just embed them) by the end of this month. We'll be at the Lausanne Laptop Institute, July 18-20, in Memphis. Lausanne will be the first partner in our upcoming WatchKnow Classroom feature. And we're now in planning stages for a new series of Readers, something like Starfall and Literactive, but much more extensive and interactive. I'll be starting a wiki devoted to developing content for this, pretty soon. --Larry ----- Lawrence M.
